Today, I'd like to introduce you to the community tourism program of Baan Bang Rong Community Based Tourism , which is a community known for its rich historical heritage and is one of the community tourism destinations in Phuket Province.
Located amidst mountains and the sea, Baan Bang Rong is situated in an area abundant with natural resources, including lush mangrove forests. This has endowed the community with diverse and pristine natural beauty. Many residents of Baan Bang Rong still maintain a traditional and simple way of life, primarily engaging in activities such as rubber tapping, traditional fishing, goat farming, and mixed farming. The landscape surrounding the community is naturally picturesque.
The program we're highlighting today is a half-day tour, offering enjoyable activities and delicious food that allow visitors to learn and understand more about the way of life of the people of Baan Bang Rong. It guarantees a fulfilling and enriching experience.
The activities include:
- Welcoming with organic passion fruit juice and traditional Thai snacks, followed by a batik painting activity, and receiving a souvenir cloth bag.
- Touring a pineapple farm to learn about pineapple cutting, slicing, and tasting fresh pineapple served with pineapple cheese tart and pineapple in syrup (fruit and sweets made by the local community enterprise).
- Touring a rubber plantation to witness the rubber tapping process and rubber sheet production.
- Touring a coconut farm, participating in coconut harvesting, learning to husk, grate, and make coconut-based snacks, and enjoying fresh coconut water straight from the farm.
- Having lunch in the community before heading back.
