Yao Ye, Local Ranong food
Local Ranong food “Yao Ye”, a traditional Chinese Hokkien dish.
The original recipe consists of boiled morning glory, boiled squid, fried tofu, boiled or fried fish or shrimp, pieces of Patonggo (deep-fried dough stick) , and a topping of ground nuts, roasted sesame seeds, and fried garlic. Comes with two kinds of dipping sauces: syrup and a sauce that tastes sour, spicy, and salty. It can be a snack or a starter that Ranong has had for a long time.
