Cashew nuts, Ranong province
"Kayu," or cashew nuts, is an important souvenir product of Ranong province. It is commonly planted at Koh Phayam and Koh Chang, Mueang Ranong District. The native species that are commonly planted are Koh Phayam species. It is sweet, crispy, fragrant, and delicious. It can be roasted and shelled out, leaving only the seeds inside. It can be considered almost the entire area of Ranong Province, with a planting area of 51,137 rai out of the total area of Ranong Province (68,801 rai). The famous souvenir of Ranong Province is Kayu Bake. The production process is not easy at all. Start with harvesting, sun-drying, sorting, burning, cracking, and drying before selling.
