Saengtham Shrine, or in Chinese Hokkien called the shrine or Xingjiakong Shrine, is another old shrine in Phuket. which is hundreds of years old. It is located in a small alley on Phang Nga Road. This shrine was built in 1891 by Luang Amnat Nararak (Tan Khuat) to house a Chinese deity that was originally revered by his family. using it as a place of worship, including using it as a meeting center for relatives.

The Attractiveness of Saengtham Shrine In addition to its secluded and peaceful location in the heart of the city, the emphasis is on the beauty of the architecture in traditional Chinese style. The building is in the form of a small, compact Chinese cab, with a stucco on the roof of a dragon and Chinese dolls, which are popular in Hokkien province, decorated beautifully. In addition, within the shrine, there is a black line drawing in a full-size square on both sides, depicting the story of Xi Ying Gui of the shrimp dynasty, which is the legend of the past Thep Ong Sun Tai Sai when he was a human being before

In 1997, Saengtham Shrine received an outstanding conservation award from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn through the selection of the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage. The shrine was renovated in 1999 to celebrate the 109th anniversary of the shrine in 2000.

Location: If you go from the Phuket Road Intersection, you will see a small alley beside Krung Thai Bank on Phang Nga Rd. Saengtham Shrine is located in this alley.
